eCornell is an online learning company established and wholly owned by Cornell University, an Ivy League university located in Ithaca, New York, U.S. eCornell offers both certificate programs and professional development courses, to provide individuals and corporations a comprehensive online, professional and executive development curriculum. It was created in 2000 as a for-profit subsidiary of Cornell University to develop and deliver online courses.

Courses
The professional development programs are developed, and authored by faculty from Cornell's Johnson Graduate School of Management, School of Hotel Administration, School of Industrial and Labor Relations, and the College of Engineering. .
The courses, led by live instructors, are delivered in virtual classrooms. Each program lasts for a period of two weeks, during which students work at their own pace. Course work focuses on solutions and strategies for solving real-world situations. Instruction is scenario-based, combining simulations, readings, online discussions, self-assessments and short written assignments. Students interact with both instructors and peer groups; the courses also provide "Ask the Expert" interviews with Cornell University faculty and online access to library resources.

The programs are designed for professionals and executives working within management or human resource industries. There are programs in Leadership and strategic management, Project leadership, Systems approach to product and service design, financial management, management essentials, marketing strategy and data-driven marketing, healthcare, hospitality and foodservice management, human resources management, leadership, and plant-based nutrition.
Corporate programs
There are also corporate programs. targeted to companies, not-for-profits, and other organizations who would like train and develop employees.
